We are looking for a CTO to lead the implementation of key technical initiatives and help us scale our business. You will be hands-on in engineering sound solutions to challenging technical problems related to collecting sensitive and personal health information while ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
The ideal applicant will have prowess in numerous programming languages and a profound knowledge of various software architectures. They also need to keep a robust grounding in User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design theories. A deep-seated command of modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and wearable devices. He or she has the ability and autonomy to make smart contributions, not just to our code base but also to technical strategy and organizational processes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
- Attending daily standup
- Designing and developing new microservices and other functionality
- Providing support for defect resolution
- Providing support in project scoping
- Providing insights and collaborating in technical strategy planning sessions
- Creating and improving engineering processes
- Taking ownership of key technical initiatives
- Collaborating regularly both with the engineering team and other team members across the firm
Minimum Requirements:
- iOS development experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to teach others
- Experience developing in a microservices architecture
- High proficiency with Java
- High proficiency with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- High proficiency in developing REST APIs
- High proficiency with Git
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Spring Cloud
- Knowledge of Spring Security
- Knowledge of Bigtable and BigQuery or equivalent
- High proficiency with AWS cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience building large-scale systems
- DevOps experience, especially with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Project Management
Compensation:
At Amissa Health, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,00 - $221,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
